WELCOME! My name is Erin and I am so happy you are here. I find joy in genuine friendships, pursuing Jesus, and family. I find peace in worship, resting at the feet of Jesus, enjoying an amazing breeze, and loving on my fur babies.
I am an extrovert embracing the joy of quiet, peace and being still. I am learning to be renewed in my Father’s presence and what it looks like to live out my faith everyday! I am embracing what it means to hear God’s voice and to stand strong in His truths and promises. Life is not easy, but when we put our efforts in handing our struggles to God, life can get so much easier.

Be Salt & Light?
Salt and Light comes from one of Jesus’ parables. In the sermon on the Mount, Jesus uses the metaphor of salt and light to help us understand how we should interact with the world.
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot (Matthew 5:13).
When we think of salt, there are 2 things that really come to mind; preservation and flavor. Jesus seems to be telling his followers that they bring flavor to this life by sharing and communicating God’s goodness. And, as Jesus pointed out, if His followers lost their saltiness, they would no longer be effective at protecting God’s goodness in the world.
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:14–16).
In our modern world with electricity and lights whenever we need them, we may not understand the importance of light in a world without those modern conveniences. In Jesus’ time, people used small oil lamps to light their homes at night. The thought of someone lighting a lamp and hiding its light under a bowl would have been humorous. The reason you light a lamp is for light, and you would place that lamp in a place to give off as much light as possible.
Jesus seems to be showing us how we live our lives can be a beacon to others. We can be that light that shows people the way to Jesus. Our good deeds indeed glorify God.
Just like salt and light, our faithfulness should demonstrate God’s love to all we come in contact with. Jesus is calling us to be an influence everywhere we go.
I hope you will join me on a journey towards embracing just how precious you are to our Father in heaven!
